Bagra Blog

Feel free to blog about our wines.

The Bagrationi 1882 winery is delighted to introduce its sparkling wines to the United States.  The Bagrationi 1882 winery is part of Georgia's royal family, and is known throughout Europe for their tradition of producing the best sparkling wines for over 125 years.  Along with delicious Georgian food, a fusion of Greek, Turkish, and Italian cuisine, wine is Georgia’s #1 export.

Meet the Bagra-Tamada!  In the Georgian culture a “Tamada” is the host at special Georgian events.  It is the role of a “Tamada” to make certain that all guests are properly taken care of, happy, and satiated with great food and of course good wine.

Did you know the region where the country of Georgia is located has over 500 unique varietals of grapes found only in this part of the world?  Bagrationi uses three different types of varietals to produce its world-class sparkling wines – Tsitska, Mtsvane, and Chinebuli.  We invite you to try a bottle and to celebrate all of life’s special moments with . . . Bagrationi 1882 sparkling wines.

This news is brought to you by your Bagra-Tamada!   I will provide you with interesting insights about the country of Georgia, it’s wines, it’s culture, and new Bagrationi 1882 information.  I am Nicholas Krivoruchko  representing the Pacific Wine Marketing Group responsible for importing Bagrationi 1882 sparkling wines.

Of course, you can always visit our very informative www.BagrationiWines.com website for up-to-date information!

Gamarjos,

The Bagra-Tamada
